Sidebar Views

Sidebars are contained within a tabbed area of the workspace, when in Document Source view. They provide additional functionality of various types, based on the selected sidebar. There are seven sidebars in Spider Writer:

Attributes - HTML and XML tag attribute editor
Local Files - Explorer-like interface
Environment - Spider Writer projects, Visual SourceSafe projects, data connections
Script Outline - Technology tree of syntax items
Code Snippets - Stores commonly used code
Tasks - Tasks list
Results - Results of syntax checking and thumbnail viewing

Customizing Sidebar Locations

You can drag and drop sidebars to dock on the left, bottom, or right sides of the Spider Writer main window. To do this, simply drag the titlebar of a sidebar over to the destination and drop it. You also can double click on a titlebar to switch between docked and undocked modes. When a sidebar is undocked, it floats over the main window and can be resized freely.
